Give Where Most Needed

The most effective use of donations is ”where most needed,” as it gives us the maximum flexibility to direct funds in accordance with current and most urgent needs across our international network. This is the default designation for every gift, unless the donor specifies other intent.

One-Time Gift

Many people prefer to give a one-time gift, often when they receive a tax refund or happen to have some “extra” cash. We certainly appreciate these one-time gifts, which are most effective when given to “where most needed.” On rare occasions we make an emergency appeal, such as to repair roofing that was damaged in a severe wind storm. The one-time gift is extremely important, but please consider the following option.

Monthly Giving

While one-time gifts are always appreciated, all organizations operate most effectively through budgets. Budgets allow for maximum productive use of donations because they give us a reliable on-going account of funds available. Monthly giving allows monthly budgets to be accurate, and helps us avoid having to make “emergency appeals.” We request you consider a monthly gift of $33.00. This small gift would allow God’s Kids to:

  • Feed orphans 2 meals a day
  • Give orphans access to adequate medical care
  • Teach and model biblical principals
  • Care for orphans in a home that is clean and safe
  • Give orphans life skills and appropriate education

Sponsor an Orphanage

While many orphan ministries employ a child sponsorship model, God’s Kids invites you to look at each of our orphanages as a family unit and sponsor orphanages as a whole. This is a more cost-effective giving strategy because managing individual child sponsorship programs require many staff members. Our approach ensures your donation goes further in supplying the children’s needs by allowing us to use only corporate sponsorship for administrative costs, so that 100% of donations go to the children. Hiring staff to manage an individual sponsorship program would force us to use donated funds to cover cost, something God’s Kids is committed to avoiding.

Host an Event

Another way to partner with God’s Kids would be to donate from events such as car washes, bake sales, etc. Perhaps your place of worship will allow you to do this on their property, and you could donate all or a portion of the proceeds to God’s Kids. Perhaps a place of business will allow a collection box near the cash register with a God’s Kids sign attached. If you are a business owner you might wish to consider this option. Such activities could be done monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. For further information on arranging an event, please send an email to [email protected].
