Dear %salu%,
What would your life be like without your mother? I know that I'd be a fundamentally different person.
My mom has been blind for 13 years, and watching her struggle to adapt
to her environment in a completely new way has made a big impression on
me. It speaks to me about the character of the woman who raised and
cared for me.
This is the month that we celebrate our mothers. We're working on
behalf of kids who, for whatever reason, no longer have that influence
in their lives.
God's Kids is in a life-or-death business and we're working as hard as
we can to save as many lives as possible. Please pray for God to give
us the wisdom and the resources to show the thousands of children in
our orphanages that Jesus loves them and cares for their needs, just
like their mothers would if they were able.

Poor children in Mazatlan have few options.
Most of us think of Mazatlan, Mexico
as a paradise with grand hotels, beaches that stretch for miles, and drinks
served in hollowed-out pineapples. But for the thousands of the children living there, the city is a maze of bad influences and only one way out.
Drug trafficking has a deadly grip on the city
and the affects of the situation are sitting in our feeding centers, sleepy-eyed, singing worship
songs, and eager for breakfast. After spending some time with our Mazatlan Director, Carlos, it's clear that these kids are either going to grow up to be drug dealers or Christians.
God's Kids is doing everything we can to help Carlos disciple the hungry children of Mazatlan. He's built three
feeding centers (that also function as churches in the community) and
now God's Kids is building him a fourth center to influence more
children for Christ.
