A Week They'll Never Forget
For
over 200 Liberian kids, December 10-15 is going to be a week that they
will never forget. They're going to play games, enjoy meals
together, sing and dance, and most importantly, they are going to learn
about how much Jesus Christ loves them. God's Kids has partnered
with Hume Lake Christian Camps to make it all happen.
Kids
in the United States have opportunities to attend youth camps any time
of the year. But for Liberian children, this is a
once-in-a-lifetime chance to be entertained, catered to, and even
spoiled a little. Hume Lake is sending 12 of their staff members
to Liberia to teach the children about the love of Christ and the joy
of the life He's given us.
"It's
going to be great," says G.K. Liberian National Director, John Kpewoan.
"These kids have never experienced anything like this."
To all of the God's Kids partners who have helped us make this a reality, Thank You. We can't wait to tell you the stories of how these kids' lives have changed during the conference.
Swift Action Feeds an Abandoned Orphanage

God's
Kids was asked by the Liberian Minister of Health this week to check on
two orphanages that were nearly out of food for their children.
The organization that was supporting the orphanages made the
decision to cease its operations in Liberia and left the orphanage
directors and their children in a difficult situation.
"The
children were left without food," said John Kpewoan, our Liberian
National Director. God's Kids purchased emergency rice and oil
for both orphanages to give the children something to eat immediately.
God's
Kids will be looking for some long-term solutions for these orphanages
in the coming days and weeks. Please pray for God's guidance as
we work to help the children at these orphanages.
